Class of 2020 Seniors

Class of 2020, we have a new date for our Homecoming Appreciation. It's now  
November 19th from 5-8:30 pm. Permission forms are ready for pick up in  
P-22 (Magz Class). We want to close out our last year of Homecoming with  
each other, our families, food, activities, and a classmate movie night of  
Toy Story 4. Forms are due next Wed, Nov. 15th. It is a first come, first  
serve basis (Limited to the first 250 people). This event is open to all  
class members; especially celebrating those classmates that participated  
any of our 4 years of Homecoming.

2020 Project Graduation sign up

Seniors the absolute LAST day to reserve your spot for your Project 
Graduation is December 3. It is only $25 to reserve a spot for you. The 
total cost of Project Graduation is $275.

​Boys Basketball Tryouts

Boys Basketball Tryouts will start on Tuesday, November 12. Must turn in a current physical to participate.
JV to start promptly at 4:00 pm in the gym.
Varsity to start promptly at 5:00 pm in the gym.

Girls basketball tryouts

Girls basketball tryouts are this week November 7th-8th. Practice is  
everyday at 2:45pm in the gym.

Lyrics Lounge Rap Battle

Lyrics Lounge Poetry club is hosting a Rap Battle on November 18.  Applications to sign up can be picked up in A104 or through any Lyrics Lounge member and are due Friday, November 8 to Ms. Oshiro in A104.  

2020 Project Graduation

Fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen at Ka Makana Aliʻi on Nov. 5  
supports the class of 2020ʻs project graduation. Please have your family  
and friends attend CPK on November 5 and 20% of your bill will be donated.  
You will need a flyer to take with you to CPK. Come to A 209 to pick up a  
flyer.

Cookie Corner fundraiser

Students who are participating in the Cookie Corner Fundraiser--your form  
and money is due by Nov. 5 to Kumu Keʻala. This is the final day to turn in  
your money no exceptions.

HOSA / Student Activities

Our first Blood Drive is on Monday, Nov. 4. If you are 16 years of age or  
older by Nov 4 and would like to donate blood, please sign up at the  
Student Activities office at Shop 2. If you already signed up, please turn  
in your signed Parent / Legal Guardian Consent & Appointment Request form  
to get an appointment time. Thank you!

Coach Inman in P-15, Coach Shimada in P-17, or Coach Davis in FS-101, for

Kaleo O Wai'anae is the official online home of Wai'anae High School.  It is designed and managed by our nationally recognized, integrated, multi-media journalism program Searider News, a major elective in the Searider Productions program.  We produce daily, bi-monthly, monthly, periodical and yearly publications as a service to our school and community.
