Aloha Searider 'Ohana,

We are writing to address and provide clarification regarding a recent social media post that has

caused concern within our community. The post incorrectly stated that a weapon was found on

our campus and that a student was arrested by the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) in front

of the school for being in possession of a firearm.

We want to state that there was never a concern related to a weapon and no weapon was found

on our campus. The information shared on social media is inaccurate and has been a source of

unnecessary panic and concern. While HPD was present on campus to respond to a call, we

can confirm that no weapon was involved in the incident.

The widespread sharing of unverified information on social media platforms is harmful to our

community and can cause significant distress. We ask for your help in refraining from reposting

inaccurate information and instead relying on official communications from the school.

Our top priority is and will always be the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and

families. If you ever have a concern or need to report a situation, we urge you to please call the

school directly at (808) 697-9400 so we can address your concerns promptly and accurately.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support in keeping our campus safe.

Mahalo,
